Thursday's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Dallas Stars had some questionably reffing. One incident in particular left the Maple Leafs' Jake Muzzin extremely irate.
In the beginning of the third period, Muzzin and Alexander Radulov were battling in the corner for the puck. Muzzin came out with the puck as Radulov fell to the ice and Muzzin was given a hooking penalty. Right away he went to the refs to argue his case. But then he turned his attention to Radulov and let him have it.
From the replay it looks as though neither player may have been at fault as Radulov caught an edge and went down. The referee was quick on the whistle to make a call and send the Stars to the power play.
The Stars weren't able to capitalize on the powerplay, but we can toss this on the pile of terrible calls from this season.
Hopefully this is shown at the referee clinic this summer.
