Joe Thornton has had a very impressive NHL career. He is unquestionably a Hall of Famer when he eventually decides to call it a career. Thornton has accomplished almost everything over his career, but he has still yet to win the ultimate prize in hockey. The Stanley Cup.
Sharks General Manager, Mike Grier has come out and said that he'd be willing to sign Jumbo Joe back with the Sharks. But it's all up to Joe with what he wants to do but he is willing to sit down and talk numbers with him to get him back in a Sharks jersey.
Things are kind of up to him. I don't know if he wants to play or not play, when he figures that out, and his family figures that out, then I'm sure have a conversation with him at some point.
Joe Thornton has played in 1,714 career games and has 1539 career points. Thornton was drafted 1st overall by the Boston Bruins in 1997 and has played with 4 teams since being drafted.
