John Gibson responds to Frank Seravalli's report that he requested a trade
Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson was a guest on the 'Cam and Strick' podcast on Tuesday, which was perfect timing given a report from Frank Seravalli saying that he requested a trade, followed by his agent refuting the report.
"John Gibson has asked for a trade. And I've reported that," Frank Seravalli said on the Nasty Knuckles podcast. "And he said 'I am not playing another game for the Anaheim Ducks.'"
Gibson's agent responded a short while later saying that Seravalli's report was completely false and he didn't reach out to the Ducks goaltender or his agency to check the validity of the information.
Flash forward to Tuesday and John Gibson responded to the rumour put out by Frank Seravalli and he didn't shut it down as quickly as his agent did.
"Obviously there's a little uncertainty; I'm not sure what's going to happen. Whether I'm in Anaheim or somewhere else, I'm just worried about being ready to play." Gibson said.
The 29-year-old has spent his entire ten -year NHL career with the Anaheim Ducks, amassing a record of 180-179-59 with a 2.83 goals against average, a .912 save percentage and 24 shutouts.
