Seattle Kraken forward Calle Jarnkrok has officially been traded to the Calgary Flames. The 30-year old spent his first 8 seasons in Nashville before being selected by Seattle in the expansion draft. Järnkrok appeared in 49 games for the Kraken this season, scoring 12 goals with a total of 26 points.
Järnkrok is a pending UFA, who has a $2M cap hit this season. The middle 6 forward strengthens the Pacific division leading Flames depth up front. Järnkrok has played in 63 playoff games in his career, producing 15 points.
It will certainly be interesting to see where Järnkrok fits into the Calgary Flames lineup. He is now the 2nd forward the Flames have added via trade, with Tyler Toffoli being acquired earlier on.
