Last night when the Toronto Maple Leafs took on the Chicago Blackhawks it wasn't their best team effort and it certainly lacked goaltending in what ended up ended up being a 5-3 loss.

However, it appears that Leafs goaltender Ilya, who was having trouble a couple of days ago in practice was still quite under the weather when he took the net last night, take a look:

Gotta give Ilya Samsonov some credit for playing through a stomach illness 🚽 #LeafsForever

Playing through a stomach bug is never fun, kudos to him for trying to go out and play, battling through something like that may just endear yourself to your team more while also bring the wrong call and ultimately caught up to the team in the loss. If he was that sick, he shouldn't have been allowed to play.

On the other hand Samsonov has always been a blunt character and a hard day on the s*****' wasn't going to stop him from trying to help his team win.

Even with that loss, Samsonov has been a good find for the Leafs this season posting a 19-7-2 record with a .915 save percentage and a 2.38 goals against average.

At least he has a good reason for under performing.
