The Toronto Maple Leafs saw a lot of their pending UFAs leave for other teams today in the opening of Free Agency. Ryan O'Reilly, Luke Schenn, Michael Bunting, Alex Kerfoot and Justin Holl have all officially left Toronto.

General Manager Brad Treliving was successful in adding some talent on the opening day. Signing one of the last remaining enforcers in the game Ryan Reaves and minute eating defender John Klingberg to deals.

Hockey reporter Elliotte Friedman made an appearance on the NHL Network and said

"One team that hasn't made a lot of noise today that I think has some intertest in Tyler Bertuzzi is Toronto, I know they were one of the teams that wanted to talk to him."

Hockey insider Chris Johnston revealed the Leafs are among the teams still showing interest in forward Max Domi.

Toronto desperately needs to add some more speed and physicality to their lineup. Domi and Bertuzzi fit that description to a tee. Bertuzzi is the better player, will command the most financially and has the most interested teams. Fans would be filled with nostalgia seeing a Domi wearing the blue and white colours again. Max's dad Tie played over ten seasons of his career in Toronto.
