League makes announcement about Auston Matthews facing possible suspension
During the 3rd period of today's Leafs versus Sabres game, Auston Matthews got engaged in front of the Buffalo net with Rasmus Dahlin. During the exchange both players exchanged cross checks, but Matthews cross check landed to the head and neck area of Dahlin.
Matthews has never been suspended or fined by the NHL, but this could be his first.
It has already been announced that Matthews play will be reviewed by the league.
