Maple Leafs management have determined one player they're unwilling to bring back
The Toronto Maple Leafs had arguably their best regular season in franchise history, but fell just short of knocking off the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champion, Tampa Bay Lightning. The Leafs ultimately ended up falling in 7 games in the first round once again this past year.
With that being said, there's one area in particular that Toronto needs to pay extra attention to, goaltending. More specifically, their backup goaltending situation. I know, Campbell isn't signed and they might be without a number one, but the most underwhelming signing coming into this season was that of Petr Mrazek, who they signed to a three year deal at the start of free agency.
Mrazek's performance was so underwhelming, Toronto has no interest in bringing the 30-year-old netminder back.
In 18 games this year, Mrazek finished with 12 wins, 6 losses, a 3.34 goals-against average and an .888 save percentage. It's no wonder the Leafs are looking to offload him.
