After his trade to Minnesota, star goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has been able to address some of the rumours surrounding himself at the trade deadline. One team that was rumoured to be in on Fleury was a former rival, in the Washington Capitals.

Reportedly, Fleury denied a trade to Washington, citing his allegiance to his former team in Pittsburgh, being unwilling to join a team he faced in the playoffs so many times. Saturday night Fleury finally commented on the situation when asked about it directly. Fleury's answer is short, but to the point:

It just wouldn't seem right.

Instead, Fleury of course accepted the trade to Minnesota, reuniting him with his former general manager Bill Guerin.

Fleury made his debut with Minnesota last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, stopping 23 out of 25 shots on goal for his first win with the Wild.
