Mark Borowiecki and Jonah Gadjovich drop the gloves for the first scrap of the NHL season
The NHL regular season kicked off today in a game between the San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators. The game was hosted in the Czech Republic as part of the NHL's attempted growth as part of the Global Series. Today's game was the first of two meetings between the two teams in Europe.
During the second period of today's game Mark Borowiecki and Jonah Gadjovich dropped the gloves for the first fight of the NHL season. Borowiecki landed some major shots on Gadjovich, but unfortunately did not get away unscathed.
After the fight in the penalty box Boro can be seen working on his knuckle. It's clear this is an injury he's suffered before and like the true warrior he is he didn't miss a shift. The two men were both awarded 5 minute majors for the play.
