Matt Duchene has found his new home after being bought out by Nashville
Matt Duchene will be staying in the Central Divsion. According to Frank Seravalli, the Dallas Stars have signed Duchene to a one-year contract worth $3 million.
"Hearing Matt Duchene is signing with #TexasHockey: 1 year x $3 million. The Stars got their winger." Seravalli said.
Duchene, 32, was placed on unconditional waivers by Nashville on Friday for the purpose of buying out the remaining three years of his contract.. He cleared waivers at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday and became an unrestricted free agent.
In 71 games this season, the Haliburton, Ontario native had 56 points (22 goals, 34 assists), 32 penalty minutes and was a plus-four.
