NBA player misses game for hilarious reason, once again proving NHL players are built different
An NBA player was forced to miss a game for a hilarious reason, proving that NHL players are built different and are wired to play no matter the circumstances.
Portland Trail Blazers center Deandre Ayton was all set to return to the lineup for the first time since December 23rd but mother nature had other ideas.
There was a recent ice storm in Portland that caused problems for the residents. Ayton was unable to get to the arena after he "tried" for hours to get out his neighborhood that was covered in ice. Portland sent people out to help Ayton but were unsuccessful.
It is a pretty funny situation when you think about it, Portland would have all the money in the world to get additional resources but still were defeated by mother nature. Luckily, Ayton wasn't needed as Portland got the win 105-103.
It's funny to see a situation like this when you compare it to the NHL. Players in the NHL make these treacherous travel on an almost weekly basis and you never hear of a player not making it to a game. This is just the excuse people use to get out of 11 pm beer league games.
