We all know hockey is a rough and grueling sport and it's not easy to stay healthy every game. However, Philadelphia Flyers' defenceman Keith Yandle has been able to do just that for 987 games straight now.
Unfortunately, the NHL's resident Iron Man missed practice today and could possibly see an end to his current ironman streak. The Philadelphia Flyers' Head Coach, Mike Yeo revealed that the 35-year-old defenceman, is sick and unable to practice.
Luckily for Yandle, the Flyers don't play again until Saturday when the Flyers play Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs.
If Yandle doesn't play Saturday, Arizona Coyotes' Phil Kessel would take over as the longest active streak. Which would position Kessel to possibly take the crown from Yandle as early as next season.
