NHL given a date to determine if they Coyotes will have to leave Arizona
The fate of the Arizona Coyotes may be reaching a tipping point. We may learn some questions about their future towards the end of November. On November 29th the city of Tempe will vote for a new arena that would seat sixteen thousand fans for the Coyotes. We already know that this year the team will be skating at Arizona State University because they currently have a home arena. Less than ideal circumstances for an NHL hockey club. If they can't agree on a new arena, could this be the end of the Coyotes in Arizona? It sure has not gone well for them the last few seasons. Even if they pass the deal for a new arena how long will it take to construct? Can they realistically expect sixteen thousand fans for a hockey game?
Right now the Coyotes play at a small college rink that only seats a few thousands people, the team is bad, and no one wants to play there. Many NHL fans feel its time to relocate the franchise to a city with a better rink and more fans.
