Nashville Predators place defenseman on waivers to terminate his contract
With the NHL off-season in full swing, we should expect to see more and more moves announced as teams prepare their rosters for the draft and free agency. Today the Nashville Predators took a step to terminate a contract to provide themselves some flexibility.
Elliotte Friedman provided the following information via tweet:
Matt Tennyson (NSH) on unconditional waivers
Agreeing to mutually terminate the deal will allow Tennyson to seek employment elsewhere. Tennyson had one-year remaining on a deal set to pay him $750,000.
Tennyson appeared in only 8 games with the Predators last year, adding only 3 assists.
