Nathan MacKinnon gives a hilarious quote about the Avs chances of repeating as Champs

With their Stanley Cup victory the Avs ended a 21-year long Stanley Cup drought. The team is loaded with talent like Cale Makar, Mikko Rantanen, Gabriel Landeskog, Devon Toews, and of course Nathan MacKinnon. All of who are under contract for next season.

After last seasons exit, MacKinnon was heartbroken and frustrated after their lose to the Golden Knights. After which he gave one of the all-time quotes:

I'm going into my ninth season next year and haven't won shit.

Fast-forward one year later and he won the Stanley Cup, so of course his tone has changed. After winning MacKinnon was asked if the Avalanche could possibly repeat next season and he gave a great answer.

It's crazy how they went back-to-back. I might get fat as shit right now, so I don't know if we're going back-to-back. But I'm going to enjoy it for sure.

While this might be one of the best quotes of the season, there is a very good chance we see the Colorado Avalanche back again next season as Stanley Cup Champions.
