It felt like a playoff game last night between the Tampa Bay Lightning and visiting Winnipeg Jets. With Jets barely clinging onto their playoff hope last night's game was a must win.
The Jets and Lightning were physical with one and other all game long, but in the 2nd period the heat ramped up after Neal Pionk sent Tampa Bay Lightning`s Ross Colton flying with a perfectly executed hip check, the only problem is Colton didn't have the puck when it happened.
Pionk would receive a 2-minute minor for interference on the play. Unfortunately for the Jets this hit also seemed to awaken the Lightning, who would score 4 straight goals and go on to win 7-4. This loss all but officially eliminates the Jets from post season contention.
