Officials forced to restrain Ryan Reaves as he tries to chase down Jesperi Kotkaneimi
The Rangers and Hurricanes series has been back and fourth. The series though has been highlighted by two incidents in blowout games where the Hurricanes have tried to start extra curricular exchanges after the final whistle. With the Rangers leading the game 5-2 in the final, Gerard Gallant had a solution for that issue...Ryan Reaves.
As the final whistle blew some action broke out in the corner and Ryan Reaves did everything in his power to become part of the scrum. It appears that Jesperi Kotkaneimi said something to Reaves that drew his attention away from the pile.
Luckily for Kotkaneimi the referees were able to keep Reaves contained as that's a matchup Kotkaneimi definitely isn't winning.
The series returns to Carolina for Game 7 on Monday. The Hurricanes are currently undefeated on home ice, while being winless on the road.
