Oilers reportedly have COVID related travel complications on route to Colorado
The Edmonton Oilers eliminated the Calgary Flames in 5 games and have been awaiting the start of their Western Conference Final ever since. The Avalanche needed 6 games to dispatch the Blues to secure the matchup. It now seems like the Oilers are having some issued getting into Denver ahead of the series start tomorrow.
According to Patrick Johnson, a Canucks reporter, it appears the Oilers hit a snag crossing the border.
Source tells me Oilers had some Covid-related travel issues getting down to Colorado yesterday.
It does appears though that all the Oilers were able to make it across the border and to Denver for tomorrow's game. The ridiculous COVID travel restriction may play a role in quick turn around games in this series.
