Nazem Kadri is one of the only high powered free agent names left on the market today. Kadri remains as probably the only game changer left on the market. It also appears Kadri's decision taking time is also forcing teams to look elsewhere.
According to Avalanche Insider, Adrian Dater, Kadri will not be returning to the Colorado Avalanche, a team with which he won the Stanley Cup this past season.
Kadri, 31, had a career high 87 points last season including 28 goals and 59 assists and will command North of 8 million per on his next contract most likely, that being said, he's earned it and should go to where he can flourish.
At almost 32-years-old, Kadri will start to decline rather quickly in the seasons to come and as such, his highest earning window is rather limited. He's a competitor, so while I believe the money will be an added bonus, I don't see him going somewhere that he can't make another run rather quickly.
