The Florida Panthers look to eliminate the Washington Capitals tonight in game 6 of their first round series. However, one of the Panthers top players suffered an injury yesterday and is a game time decision for tonight.
Carter Verhaeghe has been a revelation for Florida this season. But in the playoffs he has been nothing short of spectacular. He currently leads the team with 10 points and is tied for third in NHL playoff points. In the last two games Verhaeghe has accumulated seven points and four goals, including two game winning goals. But Verhaege was not on the ice for today's morning skate and has been ruled a game-time decision.
The Florida Panthers have scored 16 goals this series and Verhaege has been apart of 10 of them. If he remains out for an extended period of time the Panthers are in trouble.
