In a turn of events, the Edmonton Oilers have been downgraded from potential cup contenders after last season, to 4th in the Pacific Division behind the Seattle Kraken.

Paul Bissonnette, an analyst on TNT among other things is known to be a shock jock' TV personality of sorts for his outlandish takes.

Bissonnette's latest suggestion postulates that if you subtract, Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid from the Edmonton Oilers, they'd lose to the Arizona Coyotes in their current form:

This isn't exactly a controversial take, but it is hilariously a take made of homer proportions.

It goes without saying the Arizona Coyotes are in the process of a tank, last in the Central Division, 6-8-1, and don't have the NHL-ready talent, so a lot of the team they ice would be in the AHL elsewhere for developmental purposes, aside from Clayton Keller, Jakob Chychrun, and Lawson Crouse.

It is a hilarious take, but for all the wrong reasons, and even as bad as the Oilers are without Kane, McDavid, and Draisaitl I don't think they have the caliber of talent Biz thinks they do.
