After the Philadelphia Flyers had a disastrous trade deadline, not making any significant moves and leaving the team in irrelevant limbo, ownership decided to bite the bullet and fire GM Chuck Fletcher.

As it seems now, Flyers ownership is ready for a complete overhaul of the front office. With more changes coming to the front office, now Elliotte Friedman is reporting that several other Flyers executives are distancing themselves and condemning decisions that the team made during their tenure.

Friedman later continued in the segment, citing the Sanheim contract as one point of contention among the front office. This season, Sanheim has 4 goals and 16 points in 65 games. He's signed to an 8 year, $6.25M contract that kicks in next season, and it already looks horrible.

For the moment, former Flyer Daniel Briere has assumed the role of interim GM, but is expected to drop the interim' and continue in the role for the foreseeable future. One impending decision will be the President of Hockey Operations and likely much of the scouting staff. Hopefully the coming off-ice changes will lead to on-ice success for the Flyers in the coming years.
