Referee is injured badly after he gets in the way of a shot
Earlier this week Francois St. Laurent was at the center of a controversy after he was accused of having a vendetta against Florida Panthers coach, Paul Maurice. Now St. Laurent is drawing attention after he suffered what appears to be a serious injury.
During tonight's game between the Nashville Predators and Los Angeles Kings, St. Laurent was injured by a shot. As the Kings bring the puck into the Pred's zone, St. Laurent was unable to get out of the way and he is struck directly in the knee.
St. Laurent falls hard to the ice and as he tries to put weight on his leg he's unable to bear it. St. Laurent is eventually escorted off the ice by medical staff and out of the game. St. Laurent did return for the 3rd period.
