Report - PK Subban is considering leaving the NHL
This offseason has reportedly been a rollercoaster ride for PK Subban and his representatives. It was first reported last March that the New Jersey Devils had decided they no long felt Subban was a fit to their culture. That was followed by Subban not being dealt at that trade deadline.
As Free Agency opened Subban had hopes of quickly finding himself a new team. But that didn't materialize either. Now it appears as no new offers have rolled in that Subban could be considering retirement from the NHL.
It's a well known fact that Subban's charisma has led him to multiple television jobs. Subban already has a contract to transition into broadcasting in his post hockey career, but no one thought that would come so soon. But with no contracts to choose from, according to Jim Parsons, Subban may pursue opportunities outside of hockey.
These opportunities could potentially give Subban an out clause to return to the NHL, but if there is no interest now, it's hard to believe there will be interest down the road.
