Ross Johnston works the body in a lengthy heavyweight scrap against Pat Maroon
The New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning don't like one and other. For the Islanders after losing back-to-back Conference Finals against the Lightning it's easy to understand why. Earlier this season we were even treated to a tilt between Zdeno Chara and Pat Maroon.
Today, in under 4-minutes we got to witness the physicality again. This time Ross Johnston and Pat Maroon squared off after a scrum. The fight lasted nearly a full 60-seconds and Johnston demonstrated a sound strategy of overpowering Maroon, while working the body.
Both men were given 5-minute majors, while Corey Perry and Matt Martin picked up roughing minors on the play.
