As a goalie in hockey you're expected to stop the puck by any means necessary. Well that's exactly what Maria Sorokina did. Sorokina is the goaltender for Agidel of the Russian-based Women's Hockey League.

In a recent game against the Tornado Dmitrov, she lost her catching glove in the middle of the play. Unlike other goalies who tuck their hand behind their back, Sorokina did the unthinkable. She simply chose to make a bare handed save on Anna Shokhina, one of the top scorers in the WHL. Sorokina was clearly in some obvious pain after making the stop. Agidel came up victorious on the night so if you ask Sorokina, she would probably agree that the juice was worth the squeeze on that play.
