NHL Free Agency often leads to some of the worst contracts being signed. When multiple General Managers get into a bidding war it often leads to biggest mistakes made. Every year GMs give out hundreds of millions of dollars and not every one of those deals works out.

Dom Luszczszyn of The Athletic put together his list of the top 10 NHL Worst Contracts in the league and some will definitely surprise you.

10. Ben Chiarot - 4 years $19,000,000

9: Nick Suzuki - 8 years $63,000,000

8. Zachary Werenski - 6 years $57,499,998

7. Erik Karlsson - 8 years $92,000,000

6. Colton Parayko - 8 years $52,000,000

5. Darnell Nurse - 8 years $74,000,000

4. Marc-Edouard Vlasic - 8 years $56,000,000

3. Jeff Skinner - 8 years $72,000,000

2. Seth Jones - 8 years $76,000,000

1. Tyler Seguin - 8 years $78,800,000

Despite NHL Free Agency Frenzy, almost all of these deals were signed by General Managers looking to retain their own free agents. It is surprising to not see names like Carey Price and Sergei Bobrovsky's names on this list.
