After much speculation in "Hockey Town" that the Detroit Red wings could move on from Captain, Dylan Larkin, it appears Red Wings fans can breath a sigh of relief.
According to Sportsnet Insider, Elliotte Freidman, the Red Wings are expecting to sign Dylan Larkin to a long term deal for him to stay in Detroit.
Detroit is not willing to do long term deals unless they think of that player as a building block.
Larkin was drafted by the Red Wings in the 2014 NHL draft 15th overall. Last season Larkin scored 31 goals and 38 assists in 71 games. Larkin has also played in 504 games all with Detroit racking up a total of 358 points.
