As we get deeper into the National Hockey League season, games mean more and more with every passing day and it seems as if the Pittsburgh penguins and the New York Islanders are giving fans a taste of what playoff hockey is like early

Tempers flare and things boil over near the end of the second period as seemingly everyone grabs a partner as New York Ilya Sorokin makes save, take a look:

Evgeni Malkin tangled up with Ross Johnston as chaos erupts. The two players continue going at in against the boards with the net knocked off among other things happening on the ice.

Brian Burke losing his mind from GM box as Islanders and Penguins get into several scrums (and one fight). Evgeni Malkin, who looked like he might have been hurt going with Ross Johnston, back up and defending himself.
Crowd loving it. Burke is banging loudly on table.

Brian Burke the Penguins President of Hockey Operations, has nearly coined the word truculence as an identity of how he wants any team of his to play. He can't be happy that no one stood up for Malkin and he (seemingly injured) had to stand up for himself.

I can understand why Burke would be upset as an aging star shouldn't have to defend himself. I wonder if this changed the Penguins plans ahead of the deadline

If this is any indication of what we're in for as the spring approaches, this is something I can get behind.
