This Boston Bruins defender will make his return tonight against the Calgary Flames
The Boston Bruins ended the post-season losing to the Carolina Hurricanes in the 1st round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
This isn't typical of a Bruce Cassidy-run team, as post-season play is to be expected. What also wasn't expected was for the team to lose defenseman Charlie McAvoy.
McAvoy has been with the Bruins since 2017-2018, and has played all of his entire career with the Boston Bruins.
It was in June when Boston learned they would be without key players to start the regular season, as McAvoy went through left shoulder surgery on June 3rd.
However it looks like a return to the lineup for their best defence man is imminent. it is expected that McAvoy will return tonight as the Bruins will take on the Calgary Flames.

Boston is currently one of the hottest teams in the NHL, with an 11-2 record, right under the Vegas Golden Knights, currently coached by Bruce Cassidy.
With a core blueliner returning and Marchand back, the Bruins should stay competitive and look to give the Flames another loss in the mean-time.
