Tom Wilson catches Vincent Trocheck in the trolly tracks
Tom Wilson has always been known for his physical play and tonight was no different. With the Capitals trailing the Hurricanes 4-1 in the 2nd period, Wilson saw an opportunity to try and spark his team. That unfortunately came at Vincent Trocheck's expense.
As Trocheck came through the neutral zone with the puck, Wilson stepped up on him and delivered a thunderous hit. It appeared at the time Trocheck had his head down, but Wilson caught him with the perfect placement of his check.
There was rightfully no penalty on the play and while Trocheck left the ice he remained in the game.
