The Carolina Hurricanes defenseman is embracing his role, as Boston's new favorite to hate. DeAngelo no stranger to racist outbursts and getting rocked by Alexandar Georgiev, has proceeded to try and rattle Brad Marchand and the Bruins' cages.

"There's no panic in our locker room. 2-2 series, and we're back in front of a much louder building than was in Boston, so we'll be fine," he said, making sure to put an emphasis on "much."

The funny fact is, DeAngelo is such a reviled presence in the NHL since leaving New York, people are looking upon Marchand favorably.

DeAngelo and Marchand had some words and sadly, didn't back them up.

Marchand referenced DeAngelo's past in the "OHL" and called him a "racist" which, I won't dispute and I'm sure Georgiev would have some words too.

Game 4 saw DeAngelo cross-check Curtis Lazar and unsuccessfully try to stop a Marchand empty-net goal. There were later reports of teenage fans heckling Tony D as seen below:

Rod Brind'Amour can make excuses for Tony D and his antics for being competitive, but in reality, it's the same old story.

"I don't know what emotions we're talking about here," he said. "it's playoff hockey. We're losing the game, so obviously we're a little frustrated, but I don't think anything happened. Nothing happened in the game. Everybody wants to write a little story about it or something, but we're trying to win a series here. If you don't have any fire, you're not gonna win. I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing. I'm not very concerned what anybody thinks."
