Toronto Maple Leafs lose one of their most important players to serious injury
The Toronto Maple Leafs roster has been riddled by injuries already this season. However, the team has been able to weather the storm due to some exceptional goaltending from rookie goalie Joseph Woll. Woll has been an incredible bright spot for the Leafs.
Tonight it appears as if Woll has suffered a serious injury half way through the third period. On what appeared to be a harmless shot, Woll makes the save before falling to the ice in immense pain. The referees eventually blew the play dead as it was clear Woll was not going to be able to get up on his own.
After being helped to the ice, Woll was unable to put any weight on his left leg.
If it hadn't have been for Woll the Leafs would have not been in this game at all. Hopefully for the young goaltenders sake it isn't as serious as it looks.
