Toronto Maple Leafs provide update on Jake Muzzin's neck injury
Monday night Jake Muzzin collided with Clayton Keller during the 2nd period. The collison immediately sent Muzzin to the ice in some obvious discomfort. Muzzin's concussion history has been well documented and another head injury could mark the end of his career.
Luckily for Muzzin the Maple Leafs revealed the injury was actually to Muzzin's neck and not his head. But with that good news also came some bad news today as the Leafs revealed they'd been forced to place Muzzin on injured reserve.
Despite this injury it being to Muzzin's head there should still be some concern about his long-term health. Muzzin can't appear to stay healthy for an extended stretch and his battled head, neck and back injuries for most of his career.
Hopefully this injury isn't serious and Muzzin can make an appropriate decision about his career going forward.
