Toronto Maple Leafs sign US Olympian and NCAA prospect

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that Leafs General Manager, Kyle Dubas has signed NCAA center Nick Abruzzese to a two-year entry level contract. The deal comes with an annual cap hit of $850,000.
The 22-year-old is from State Hill, New York, was playing for Harvard University's mens hockey team. Abruzzese, was a 2019 4th round pick, he was drafted 124th overall. This season Abruzzese has 9 goals and 24 assists in 28 games in the NCAA, while also representing Team USA at the Olympics.
Abruzzese is 5'10 and weighs 163 pounds he's described as a small speedy center with lots of skill and a solid two-way player. Abruzzese was named Captain for the University of Harvard this season and finished 2nd in scoring for his team. Abruzzese was a big part in Harvard reaching the NCAA Regional semi-final and was named a first team all-star.
