According to Chris Johnston, Elias Lindholm has agreed to terms on a seven-year contract worth $54.25 million ($7.75 million AAV) with the Boston Bruins that'll keep him locked up until 2032.
Lindholm, 29, was Vancouver's big trade acquisition this past season, bringing him in from the Calgary Flames for a package that included Andrei Kuzmenko, Hunter Brzustewicz, Joni Jurmo and a 2024 first round pick and a 2024 conditional fourth round pick.
The Boden, Sweden finished the regular season with 44 points (15 goals, 29 assists), 25 penalty minutes and was a minus-14 in 75 games with Calgary and Vancouver. During the playoffs, he turned his game up a notch, appearing in 13 games and tallying ten points (five goals, five assists) and four penalty minutes.
It'll be interesting to see how Lindholm fits in with the Boston Bruins next season, but there's no doubt he'll play a big role in the top-six and get time on the powerplay as he looks to bounce back after a bit of a dip in production during the 2023-24 regular season.
According to Elliotte Friedman, Nikita Zadorov has signed a six-year contract with Boston Bruins worth $30 million ($5 million AAV).
Zadorov, a native of Moscow, Russia, was one of the first big trades of the 2023-24 campaign, being dealt from Calgary to Vancouver in late-November. The 29-year-old had 20 points (six goals, 14 assists), 125 penalty minutes and had an even-rating in 75 regular season games. He took his game to the next level in the playoffs and at times, was one of the Canucks' best defencemen, putting up eight points in 13 games.
The 29-year-old is going to be a solid fit for the Boston Bruins as they look to make a deep push in the Stanley Cup Playoffs next season. Zadorov is an ideal playoff player with his style and should play a big role for Boston in the 2024-25 campaign.
