Darnell Nurse catches Sam Bennet with a questionable knee-on-knee hit just minutes into the game forcing the officials to review it.

You knew that game 4 between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers was going to get heated relatively quickly, but I don't think anybody knew just how quick.

Minutes into the first period Oilers defender Darnell Nurse Gets sent to the box For a Questionable knee-on-knee hit on Panthers forward Sam Bennett

Nurse was originally given a five minute major , but after a short review, the penalty was downgraded to a two minute minor. Sam Bennett did go to the dressing room.

It's great that the officials have the ability to review plays like this. I think they made the correct call after reviewing the play. It could've gone either way though.

This is what happens when you triangle for the big hit in the neutral zone and you don't have the opposing player lined up properly. I believe that this was the right call, It was a dirty hit either way.

About halfway through the first period the Oilers are leading the Panthers by a score of 2-0.

Update: Bennett has returned.
