EA Sports have accidently leaked the cover athletes for NHL 25, which the 34th installment in the series.

In the coming months, EA Sports will be releasing NHL 25 and it appears that gamers will begin to get information regarding the newest installment in the series later this week.

On social media on Monday, Noah Strang of Daily Hive shared that the YouTube account for EA Sports NHL accidently released the reveal trailer for NHL 25 days ahead of when the video was supposed to be made public. While the video didn't stay up for very long and was eventually unlisted and made private, it did reveal a major detail - this year's cover athlete.

Strang shared the full trailer on his X account which showed that Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes, along with his brothers Jack and Luke Hughes of the New Jersey Devils, will be the cover athletes for EA Sports NHL 25.

As to what new additions will be in this year's NHL game, that remains unclear, but it looks like there will be some sort of Hockey IQ feature, as can be seen in the video below.

NHL 25 will mark the first time since NHLPA Hockey '93 that there will be three cover athletes, with Rod Brind'Amour, Mike Richter and Randy Moller being featured in that edition of the game. It'll also be the first time that brothers will be on the cover of an EA Sports NHL game, other than the Swedish edition of NHL 11 which featured Henrik and Daniel Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks.

While fans can watch the trailer now on X, it's set to be officially launched by EA Sports NHL on YouTube on Thursday, August 22nd at 11 am ET.
