Tanner Jeannot's hit on Brock Boeser has caught the attention of Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman, who believes Jeannot has to take 100 percent of the blame

The LA Kings' Tanner Jeannot has been the talk of the hockey world over the past day as everyone debates his hit on Brock Boeser of the Vancouver Canucks. A suspension is a safe bet in this incident, and Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman says Jeannot has to put the blame squarely on his own shoulders.

In his latest 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman discusses Tanner Jeannot's brutal hit to the head of Brock Boeser last night. He believes Jeannot is 100 percent in the wrong on the play.

"The number one thing I look at when there's any head contact is does Boeser do anything at the last second that gives, you know, or anybody who hits him, an excuse to hit his head? Does he move his head at the last moment? Does he make a sudden movement that a player can't alter their path? And the answer here is no, like Boeser's head does not move."

Elliotte Friedman added that the "responsibility is on Jeannot to not make contact with the head or not pick the head."

He also pointed to the fact that some may feel that Jeannot's punishment was served by missing close to 50 minutes of the last game. Friedman and the DoPS say Jeannot will get three games.

Tanner Jeannot chose to make the hit, and it was the wrong decision. There's been no update yet on Brock Boeser's status from the Vancouver Canucks
