The Edmonton Oilers and the Seattle Kraken face off in a matinee game today and it certainly could be the game to watch, given the history the two teams seem to have this season. The last time they met, things got rather heated and an Oilers defender seemed to make a promise for when the two teams met again.
The Oilers and Kraken previously met in late January. Mattias Ekholm and Yanni Gourde got into it while the pair were in the penalty box. Ekholm wasn't happy and appeared to send a very pointed message to Gourde the next time they shared the ice together; take a look.
Kraken and Oilers meet for the first time since Mattias Ekholm appeared to tell Yanni Gourde "you're ****ed next game."
Wonder if Ekholm tries to settle a score today.
This happened after Gourde got a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for charging against Ekholm, something he was suspended 2 games for.
Will Ekholm actually look to settle the score tonight? That remains to be seen, but this game certainly has everything you need for some fireworks, that's for sure.
