It's that time of year again the National Hockey League is beginning to round out the rosters as they prepare for training camp to begin in under a month. This means NHL veterans signing prove it deals or professional tryouts so they can at least try and prove that they can still hang at the NHL level.
The latest player to do this is Tanner Pearson with the Vegas Golden Knights. He has just signed professional tryout with an invite to camp to hopefully earn a contract for next season.
Pearson, 32, played 52 games with the Montréal Canadiens last season collecting five goals and adding 8 assists for a total of 13 points.
To be quite honest, it's no surprise that Pearson had ink a PTO In order to try and save his NHL career after coming off of disappointing season, but with the way things have gone this off-season it might be a sneaky add should he earn a contract coming out of camp.
At this point in this career, Pearson is more of a depth ad, but he still won that can be productive in the bottom six if given the right opportunities.
