The NHL Network has released their top 50 prospect rankings, showing just how far Shane Wright has fallen
As the summer wanes and the National Hockey League season gets closer the NHL Network has released a list of it's top fifty prospects and while most of it makes sense, it illustrates just how far Shane Wright has fallen.
Falling to 4th overall to the Seattle Kraken in last years draft was quite a shock, what came next was comedy of errors in his early development, hardly playing any hockey games before the World Juniors in December of last year. Now, ranked 15th on the top prospect list ahead of next season; take a look.
The Top 50 Prospects in the NHL, revealed.
Let's hear it 🧐 do you agree?
Of course, Wright still has a long way to go in his professional career, but at one, hailed as the best prospect in junior hockey, it just shows how much a player can fall off if not handled correctly.
Couple that with his perceived character issue and he's gone from one of the best prospects in the game to a middle of the road prospect at best.
