The Vegas Golden Knights and the Edmonton Oilers have been locked in a very competitive series, Vegas defender Alex Pietrangelo addressed his suspension ahead of his return to the lineup in game 6.

According to Jesse Granger of The Atletic, Pietrangelo accused the Oilers of trying to injure him, take a look:

It's pretty obvious what's been going on. It was premeditated stuff, I'm pretty sure. (DoPS) didn't seem to care, but I'll get up and take it. I'm not going to lay on the ice like what's going on.

Pietrangelo has taken his fair share of shots in the series, particularly from Evander Kane among others, but I don't think that's any reason to try and justify a two-hand lumberjack chop to Leon Draisaitls wrist that earned him his one-game suspension.

On the other hand, he's not wrong, there have been some instances where he's been targeted and the Department of Player Safety doing nothing about it is pretty status quo for them

In any case, making such blatant accusations against the Oilers whether they're right or wrong might be the worst thing to do. Especially because game 6 is an elimination game and Edmonton doesn't need any more reason to get up and play.
