The Colorado Avalanche and Seattle Kraken are currently tied at 2 games a piece in their opening round series. If the Avalanche look to take a series lead they'll have to do it without Cale Makar. The league announced earlier today that Makar would have a hearing for his hit on Jared McCann.

On the play the puck was nowhere near McCann when he was driven into the boards. On the play Makar was originally given a major penalty, which was later reduced to a minor. However the league felt this was worthy of a suspension.

Colorado's Cale Makar has been suspended for one playoff game for Interference against Seattle's Jared McCann.

The Kraken have announced that McCann will miss game 5, and will possibly be out even longer.
