Jason Bowen, a fan of the Vegas Golden Knights, says he was suckerpunched outside American Arlines Arena after game 2 against the Dallas Stars and asks for info
A fan of the Vegas Golden Knights has issued a plea for help on social media after he says he was hit by a suckerpunch outside the American Airlines Arena in Dallas after game 2 against the Stars. Jason Bowen posted that someone hit him with a "blindsided haymaker" while he and his fiance were waiting for an Uber after the game had ended, and then ran away. Bowen has serious injuries.
"I had to be taken to the hospital via paramedics and will need extensive and likely more than one surgery for all the fracture in my face, eye socket, blurred vision, misaligned jaw, and more."
The post was made on a Dallas Stars fan page, where Bowen said he's not out to badmouth Stars fans. He just wants help finding who did it.
"I know the real true fans of the Stars will call this guy out and not welcome him as a Stars fan. It's not good for the game, the organization, or the team. Thank you and would appreciate anyone who can share it to find who assaulted me."
Unfortunately, there have been a few incidents of violence just a couple of games into round one of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. At least two broke out at the same Edmonton Oilers viewing party.
