With the season inching closer to the All-Star break, teams on the bubble are starting to look for help. One of those is the New Jersey Devils, who have been looking for help between the pipes for some time. Two names have been mentioned as good possibilities.

The first one is John Gibson, a very good netminder who is still just 30 years old.

"If, as many are speculating, a trade involving #njdevils is in the works, my money would be on #FlyTogether goalie and Pittsburgh native, John Gibson, heading back east to join the Devils."

The other is 24-year-old Cayden Primeau, a goalie with the Montreal Canadiens.

"I would point out that if it isn't Gibson, and the Devils decided to go cheaper and younger, #GoHabsGo goalie Cayden Primeau makes sense. Tom Fitzgerald scouted Primeau plenty of times when he worked for #LetsGoPens and Primeau was At Northeastern."

The Canadiens, still firmly in rebuild mode, have three goaltenders on their roster. Samuel Montembeault appears to have been appointed the number one goaltender for the Habs, leaving Primeau and veteran Jake Allen as potential trade bait. Primeau has been enjoying a a better season after struggling in the NHL in previous years, but has just 28 games in the league so far. Gibson brings much more experience, but also a heftier price tag. The Devils can't wait too much longer to make a move. The team is currently one point out of a wild card spot in the East.
