Ottawa Senators fans hilariously react to the Alex DeBrincat trade to the Detroit Red Wings
After weeks of speculation rumors swirled that the Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators were near a deal that would send Alex DeBrincat to the Detroit Red Wings. After negotiations between DeBrincat and Wing's General Manager finally reached an end the trade was finally announced.
The Senators yesterday sent DeBrincat to Detroit in return for Dominik Kubalk, prospect Donovan Sebrango, a conditional first-round draft pick in '24 and a fourth-round draft pick in '24.
This return was significantly lower than the price the Senators paid to the Blackhawks just last season and fans were not happy about it. Fans took to Twitter to share their disapproval in the deal.
As one fan put it, entering year 7 of a rebuild worse than the previous season is definitely a choice and not a positive one. With the Atlantic Division being so tough it'll be very difficult for the Sens to even have an opportunity to make the playoffs.
