Predators reportedly make NHL's top goaltending prospect available for trade
According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, the Nashville Predators continue to try and get into the top-ten at tonight's NHL Entry Draft and have reportedly made top goaltending prospect Yaroslav Askarov available for trade.
"As #preds attempt to make a splash as #NHLDraft hosts, lots of chatter that goaltender Yaroslav Askarov is in play.
Askarov was the 11th overall pick in 2020, coming off a real solid first season with AHL Milwaukee." Seravalli said.
Askarov, 21, came over to North America in 2022 to start his professional career on this side of the Atlantic. He made his National Hockey League debut in January against the Montreal Canadiens, who could be one of the landing spots for his services.
In 48 games with Milwaukee in the American Hockey League, the Omsk native had a record of 26-16-5 with a goals against average of 2.69, a save percentage of .911 and three shutouts.
