The Calgary Flames have officially traded Jacob Markstrom to the New Jersey Devils.
After weeks of rumors the NHL has finally seen its first trade of the off-season. The Calgary Flames have reportedly been shopping Jacob Markstrom for the better part of a month. Today the Flames made it official and traded the goaltender to the New Jersey Devils.

Markstrom to the Devils. In return Calgary gets 23 year old Dman Kevin Bahl and a 1st round pick in 2025
This deal works out well for both teams as the Devils receive the goaltender that they need and the Calgary fight get the future assets they are hoping for as they look to rebuild.

The Flames will retain 31.25% of Markstrom's contract.
